8th  Grade School Lunch Program Notice

Dear Parents,

The Class of 2012 Eighth Grade Committee is excited to present this year’s school lunch program. With the new school year, you will notice some changes in our program: new vendors, more choices and upgraded system features!

To order lunches, YOU MUST REGISTER FOR A SEPARATE LUNCH ACCOUNT ON THE PTO WEBSITE, even if you were already registered last year. The system builds a new database each year so if you want to order lunches or to receive important notices from the PTO, you must re-register in both systems each school year.  The lunch registration is different from the PTO member registration.

Please go to www.norwoodpto.com for instructions on how to register for your lunch account.  New users can follow the complete step-by-step directions for ordering lunches on the site. We are available to help you if you have any problems with the registration process (see the website for our contact information) and there will be 8th grade committee members available after school on the first day if you had any problems with the lunch ordering process and need assistance.

Note that lunches are pre-ordered Monday through Thursday and that Friday pizza lunch remains cash-and-carry at $2/slice and $1/drink.

Orders for the first eight-week cycle (September 14th-November 4th) will be taken online
from August 26th through Thursday September 8th, and checks must be received in the “Lunch Orders” drawer in the school lobby no later than 3:00pm on Friday, September 9th.  No orders will be accepted after these deadlines. Also, please pay attention to Class Trip and Holidays/Half Days or Pullout Dates and do not order lunches for those days. Unfortunately our system does not allow for refunds or credits for any missed lunches, including for unexpected school closures or limited absences. Thank you for your understanding. A complete calendar for the ordering cycles this school year is attached to this letter and is also on the Norwood PTO website.
